Santino Olguin-Vazquez
Born in Phoenix, Arizona and raised by two aspiring artist parents who ran a boutique and print studio, I moved to Portland around age ten. Growing up as an Arizona Chicano, I found my place in Portland’s noise, indie rock, and rap scenes—first as a musician and producer, then as a designer.
After high school, I spent years moving between colleges while starting two musical projects: my band Twistur and solo project sighr. Designing for these projects introduced me to graphic design out of necessity: I wanted a way to translate the sounds and ideas in my head into something visual. I eventually arrived at PNCA in 2020, where I dove deeper into the language and practice of contemporary design.
As a working multi-instrumentalist, I specialize in design and editing for musicians. Having experienced music from both sides, I understand how much imagery, mood, and identity can shape the way music is heard. My goal is to bring an artist’s ideas and intentions forward through design, editing, and visual direction.
